Double Dalai F2 V2

(Hash Force F2 X Neelam F3)
We are bringing back the Version 2 of the most celebrated variety by Silkroute to salvation.

“We went back to the F1 Gen. to search for another gem but with a different personality, from structure to effects. While we kept the classic deep red/magenta hues on the flowers. We selected one of the most exceptional phenos out of the F1 gen. To create the Version 2

Nearly 3 years ago we released the Double Dalai for the first time by making selection from the F1 Gen. which went to yield some of the most exceptional plants all the way till F5 where we discontinued that line.

Now, we have attempted to sculpt this variety a bit differently in terms of the structure and effects. The V1 mainly expressed short/squat plants with by and large sedative effects. However, For V2 we have narrowed down a few different females all with tall lanky structures reminiscent of its Burmese lineage but with a short flowering term of 8-9 weeks and a unique uplifting and energetic high.

We have steered this line towards the equatorial type expression as far as we could without loosing the short flowering term of 56-63 days, making it a good choice for both colder Higher latitudes where snow sets in early in the season and also at more tropical settings with warmer/hotter and humid climates.

Key Information-
Double Dalai is a poly hybrid variety which was bred using 4 different landrace varieties Hindu Kush, Burma, Kashmir and Chitral Valley. It was bred between 2018/19- 2022 in Northern India by silk route to salvation (collective)

Genetic Sources-
1. Chitral valley seeds came in as marked F2 generation in 2019 from Bodhi of Bodhi seeds.
2. Hindu Kush seeds were collected by Baba Qo from Andarab village in north east Afghanistan in 2017.
3. Burmese landrace seeds were collected from burma Mong hsat in 2019
4. Neelam Valley seeds came through a friend who collected the seeds in 2015 and sent them to us in 2016.

1. Hash Force 1. The process started in the winters of 2018 when Hindu Kush (Andarab village) seeds were planted with the goal of segregating narrow leaved phenotypes from a population typically dominated by the broad leaved plants. After making M/F selections from the P1 lot F1 generation was created which featured at least 50% of the population with the narrow leaves as selected for. 2. Burma (mong hsat) seeds were planted to find a colorful plant featuring the characteristic psychedelic high, as seen and experienced at Burma (mong hsat) Male and female selections were made from either varieties in tune with the predetermined goal of segregating narrow leaved male from the Hindu Kush population for outcrossing to a colorful female from the Burmese P1 lot.

Hash Force F1 en. (Burma P1 X Hindu Kush F1) F1 Gen. In F1 Gen. 50% of the population expressed the target phenotypes which were shorter flowering and had colored bracts from the onset of the flowering, featuring a balanced mix of both smells while effects leaning more towards the Burmese side.

Hash Force F2 en. Color assessment We only selected the 3 colored pheno from the F1 gen. For the F2 seeds, which were to assessed for the inheritability of the colored bract trait within the F2 population. We discarded all the males and flowered 10 different females at random and by the end of the flowering 100% of the females had colored bracts (with varying intensity) however only about 80% females started showing the color from the onset of the flowering, which was the targeted way in which colors must appear.

2. Neelam After finding a spectacular female selection from the P1 gen. Seed stock which featured a short flowering 8-9 weeks, decent yields covered in glistening resin glands that smelled of force pine, spices and fuel like astringent aroma. However, the Neelam valley domesticated landrace population showed protandrous hermaphroditism (male to female)
amongst nearly every male in the population. We did try to grow different batches from the P1 seeds but with no success in selecting a sexually stable male suitor for the elite female we had segregated out of the P1 stock.

After a lot of thought, we turned our attention towards the other cannabis hotspots in close proximity to Neelum valley and decided to use Chitral valley domesticated landrace for which seeds had already arrived through Bodhi of Bodhi seeds in 2019 after we met at Varanasi India during the kumbh mela.

Neelam F1 Gen. As evident from the female selection made from the F1 gen. We tried our best to select away from the PCK like expression and closer to the Neelam Valley mother, which stays green through out the flowering term and imparts a mind bending high.

Neelam F2 en. Going into the F2 generation of the Neelam, we kept our rigour around selecting away from PCK expression and restore features which were reminiscent of the original P1 Neelam Valley mother. A few different females and a male was used to create the F3 generation seeds.

Double Dalai (Neelam X Hash Force) Now, that we had 2 different varieties Hash Force and Neelam, bred for color and resin production/effects respectively. We wanted to bring various qualities from each variety into one plant, so we crossed a female from the Neelam F3 population to a Hash Force F2 male and resulting seeds were sown indoors for proper stress testing and other observations. Each of the female plant that was allowed into the F1 lot to flower out was backed up through a cutting properly tagged and flowered out parallel to the testing lot for making seeds. And at the same time the females were also flowered out seedless to assess their potential in terms of colors, resin production and effects.
NOTE: Both Hash force and Neelam were thoroughly tested and bred for other fundamental qualities important for survival in a variety of environments. Such as, Pest resistance, heat/cold shock resistance and drought resistance.
